My name is Lilian and I was part of the Cohort 7 program. Before joining #GoodKenyan I had started a small business of selling water in a kiosk at Laini Saba. As time went by, I saw an opportunity to expand my business from the few insights I got from my entrepreneurship class.
I always tried to find a balance between attending classes and running my business. This was because I wanted to complete the program and I also needed to earn a living to support my family.
Looking back, I am very grateful for the opportunity I got at Good Kenyan, most importantly the skills I acquired from the entrepreneurship and computer classes, on top of that the mentorship program natured me to what I am today. This could not have happened without the support we received from the donors last year to ensure there was program continuity for 2020.
