Humphrey Kayange and Lucy Chepchumba
Organization History
The Good Kenyan Foundation was founded by Lucy Chepchumba, who, after losing her mother during high school, experienced a challenging transition from high school to college without adequate guidance. This personal struggle motivated her to mentor others facing similar difficulties. Inspired by her grandmother’s lifelong dedication to community service, Lucy was driven to make a broader impact. In 2017,
Lucy, alongside rugby Olympian Humphrey Kayange, established the Good Kenyan Foundation. Initially launched as a social enterprise, the organization was officially incorporated as a non-profit in 2019. Their shared vision and commitment to supporting underserved communities have shaped the foundation into a beacon of hope and empowerment
